After hearing so many soul winners lamenting that:

(1) they didn’t have a simple set of instructions to give to a newly converted believer and

(2) “How do I get the new convert to come to church?” 

In response I have written this practical tract.

People will often accept Jesus as savior but not the church.  Most non-believers have a negative, suspicious concept of the church.  They see the church as interfering do-gooders who stir up all kinds of unnecessary trouble, merely money grabbing kill-joys and worse; just plain hypocrites saying one thing and doing another.  Mahatma Gandhi, the world shaker and history maker from India defined this dilemma so well … “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”  So you can see from the world perspective the church is full of Christians so unlike Jesus. 

Then again when you are ministering to non-practicing religious people and they receive Jesus as personal savior they naturally will tend to gravitate to their past denomination, due to fear of religion and man.  Neither converts from the spirit of the world or the non-practicing religious backgrounds at conversion have a renewed mind in Christ.  Unless they know you, it’s a huge step to commit to go to a church; it’s so foreign to their natural conditioning … they are overjoyed at the touch from the forgiving Jesus but afraid to commit to an institution. 

So I’ve written this practical tract “For The New Believer In Jesus Christ” for soul winners to have on hand as an effective evangelistic follow up measure.  It deals with the 5 basic elements for a new believer 1. Testify of salvation 2. Find a believing church and attend 3. Obtain a bible and read a chapter a day 4. Exhortation to pray and how, and 5. Invitation to become a soul winner with Jesus. 

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. (Rms 10:17)  By giving a new convert this simple and anointed tract to take with them, God’s work will be accomplished by God’s Spirit.  Jesus will lead the new convert to and establish them into the right congregation. 

Jesus declared  “No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me.  It is written in the book of the prophets, and they shall all be taught of God, have him in person for their teacher.  Everyone, who has listened and learned from the Father comes to me.  I assure you, I most solemnly tell you, he who believes in Me, who adheres to, trusts in, relies on and has faith in Me has, possesses now, eternal life.  (Jhn 6: 44, 45, 47)  (Jhn 12:32, 1Jhn 3: 11-15) 

Be encouraged and strengthened soul winner in your endeavors in Jesus’ name.
