About Pastor Paul Stead

For years I passionately hated religious institutions - a distinct throw back to mandatory scripture classes through school years , yet somehow I still maintained a searching heart to connect with God. The amazing thing about this is that it never occurred to me that a religious institution was supposed to do just that – put me in contact with God. And they weren’t supposed to wait in the church building for me to stumble in so they could tell me. No, they were commanded by Jesus to “go out into the highways and byways, hedges and lanes to find me in order to connect me to Jesus”.
When I did receive Jesus as Savior, people all around me turned out to be so called “Christians”

“Why didn’t you tell me about Jesus?” I asked them. “Afraid!” they answered.

“You gutless wonders,” I said “…You kept quiet about Jesus content to let me go to hell, because you were afraid of my reaction to you?!
Ever since I have been giving the invitation to the multitudes throughout the highways and byways, hedges and lanes to come to Jesus, receive His free gift of Salvation and enter into the Kingdom of God, justified through Christ’s Blood to live there through their faith in God as a citizen of Heaven with authority over the curse Adam’s rebellion bought onto the planet in Jesus’ Name.

And secondly to train believers to win Souls for Christ, by breaking the fear of man off them and asking for God’s Holy Boldness to grace their life to witness for Jesus.
Jesus said “If you love Me you’ll obey Me and keep My commandments.” (Jhn.14:13,21)

I was raised in the Anglican Church, christened, confirmed and left at 12 years old. Led to Jesus by an Itinerate AOG Preacher in 1977 and began my discipleship with my water baptism in Narwee Baptist Church in 1980 under Pastor Mike Dennis, whom I love and respect to this day. Separated into the Ministry by Bishop Harry Westcott in 1984 and later ordained into the Australian Four Square Gospel Church in 1990 under Pastor Don Baker of Calvary Chapel, Greenacre.

Currently I am submitted to the leadership of The International Connection of Ministries, relating directly to Bishop Kirby Clements and Pastor Dan C. Rhodes of U.S.A. I also serve on the advisory board of ICM whose main aims are to further a global network dedicated to the development and promotion of spiritual and practical growth resulting in the effectiveness of ministry among its affiliates. ICM offers the benefits of 30 years of practical ministry experience in areas of church administration, church structure, government, teaching, pastoral, apostolic and prophetic ministry.
I started JIAIM in 1984 and have maintained, all Glory to God, the evangelistic emphasis ever since into Australia and beyond as directed by the Holy Spirit.

This year will be my 36th Wedding Anniversary to the love of my life, Helen Stead. We have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. We are all discovering and growing still in our experience of hope, love and faith in Jesus’ Name.
My personal mandate from God is to help fill all the churches in Australia through media forms – God never told me to start a church but to work with and for churches across Australia.

My first confirmation came in our Narwee Baptist Church Morning Service “Missionary Sunday”(1981) where Pastor Dennis had invited a Kenyan Baptist Pastor to preach; his unforgettable message – Great is the Harvest but few are the laborers. Seemed his words were liquid fire permeating my heart and being until I was on fire too. Then came the altar call –precise and clear. “All those Jesus has laid Africa on your hearts to serve Come Forward Now!”

Thirty some odd people responded including me but on the way down to the altar I heard within my heart Missionize Australia first.
I stood in about the middle of those responding and as the Kenyan Preacher and Pastor Dennis prayed together over each person…”Lord bless my sister, bless my brother for responding to Your call to go to Africa to serve you”…when they arrived at me the African said “Wo! You! Missionize Australia first!” Enabled by the Holy Spirit I’m still missionizing Australia today more than ever.

I make no apology for maintaining my first love for Jesus, I was blind but now I see. Nor for being on fire to see Australians from every country and nation who now call Australia home … saved, loving God and bringing others to Jesus multiplied. God Bless.
